Ultra Pinball uses SVGA graphics and was released for the IBM PC and Macintosh. The first sequel is 3-D Ultra Pinball: Creep Night.
3-D Ultra Pinball: Fastest Pinball in Space is the first pinball game, designed by Jeff Tunnell Studios, in a long series of pinball games. 3-D Ultra Pinball: Creep Night is the second offering in the second series of Windows pinball games released by Sierra. The game also allows multi-player mode, as well as practice mode on individual tables. In the game, the player needs to complete five different challenges on each of the three tables and build structures in the process of building and launching a starship. This pinball game has everthing you desire: ghouls, goblins, spiders, and pinball snatching ghosts. The sounds produced by the mechanisms on the tables now sound more realistic, as do the digitised samples and music, which in the first part of the game used only the MIDI synthesis. The audio layer has also improved significantly. In terms of graphics, Creep Night looks a bit better than its predecessor, using resolutions up to 640x480 pixels. Each of the three tables offers a large number of different challenges and mini-games, after which the action of the game moves on to the next. Finally, it resembles a prison for the condemned Dungeon, where our main task is to place skeletons in their own cells. The Tower is nothing more than a laboratory of a crazy scientist, in which, in competition with rats and monsters, we strive to resurrect Dr.
The Castle table in its subsequent parts depicts the town, the castle area and the cemetery, while the fun consists mainly in defeating various ghosts, goblins, dragons and zombies. Of course, we can compete individually on each table, but there is nothing to prevent us from taking part in a kind of campaign in which, as the action develops, the game guides us through each table. Each of them has been divided into three parts, which have their own paws and slightly different requirements for the player. There are 3 fully three-dimensional tables at the players' disposal, which, as in the first part, are quite extensive and do not resemble classic salon flippers in any way.
